Tuxedo Shirt Front

HOW TO WEAR
CUFFLINKS AND STUDS

Choose your gemstone cufflinks and studs
first, before even choosing your shirt fabric.

You will know the fabrics best when you
have them in your hands. Ask your tailor for
fabric swatches.

Next, choose your tuxedo shirt style.

Then you can frame the look with tuxedo
and pants, so that the focus is up front and at
your cuffs with the studs and cufflinks.

For most flexibility, consider a convertible
shirt front, to wear with or without studs. And
convertible cuffs also, which you can button
or wear with your cufflinks.

HOW THEY WORK

For mushroom studs, push the base
of the stud through the hole in the inside
front from the outside, then close the outside
front over the stud the same as for a button.

For pipestem studs, hold in the spring
cross bar and, larger end first, push the bar
through both holes from the outside before
releasing the spring.

For cufflinks, close the swivel bar to push
the stem through both holes of the cuff from the
outside, then open the bar to secure the cuff.

Before the big occasion, it helps to wear
your chosen cufflinks and studs with the rest of
your outfit so that you will feel, and look, more
comfortable on the day.
